Grandview Emerson has a proud history of neighbors working together to improve our community.
Today, we’re exploring what the next chapter could look like.
Rather than rushing into restarting the neighborhood association, we’re taking time to listen, learn, and build something sustainable that will serve the neighborhood for years to come. We are working closely with Eric & Nora Garland (Past Chairs of GENA) to facilitate this next chapter of the Grandview Emerson Neighborhood Association.
Our goal is a thoughtful relaunch in 2027.
What could GENA become?
Not a complaint group. Not another meeting.
A way for neighbors to know one another. A place where residents stay informed. A place where ideas become projects.
A place where people work together to improve the neighborhood.
People who care.
You don’t need experience.
You don’t need to commit to serving on a board.

We’re Looking for…
We’re assembling a small ad hoc planning committee that will spend the next several months listening to neighbors, gathering ideas, and creating a roadmap toward a 2027 relaunch.

Our hope is to spend the coming months listening, planning, and building a sustainable path toward relaunching the Grandview Emerson Neighborhood Association in 2027.

Just Good Fight?
This page is being hosted by Just Good Fight, LLC, a local company owned by Grandview Emerson residents Tony Ayala & Madeline Etrheim.
Tony is currently volunteering his time to help explore the revitalization of the Grandview Emerson Neighborhood Association (GENA) in partnership with longtime neighborhood leaders and volunteers.
Just Good Fight exists to do more in the city of La Crosse. In doing so, it supports civic engagement and community connection through projects like Open Session and Before Council, which help residents better understand local government and become more involved in their communities.
This page is simply a temporary home for information and an interest form while neighbors work together to determine the future of GENA. As the association becomes active again, all resources and information will transition to GENA’s own website and leadership.
